Seth Sentry

Last month I had the opportunity to shoot a couple of live shows for the artist Seth Sentry during his ‘Waiter Minute’ 15th Anniversary tour. My husband works with him as his touring DJ, so when Seth goes on tour, my husband goes on tour.

I don’t shoot a lot of live music but it’s something I’d like to get better at, so I made the decision to shoot three of the Victorian stops: Northcote Social Club, Sooki Lounge Belgrave, and The Pier in Frankston.

Gig photography is notoriously difficult and I respect the people that do it full time A LOT. You’re in dark rooms (already a photographer’s nightmare) that are pumped full of dry ice, combined with constant dynamic movement and ever changing lighting conditions. All three shows were sold out and posed their own challenges, but I had a great time and I think I captured some awesome images.
