Taz & Mark

On one of the hottest March afternoons on record, two very lovely people got married.

I used to work with Taz as a bartender back in my Melbourne hospitality days, and last year out of the blue she got in touch to see if I’d be interested in shooting her wedding. She was after an ‘anti-wedding wedding photographer’ which is kind of how I see myself with regards to shooting weddings. I approach them like any other event, and just document the day - lots of candids, not too much posing or direction, and I’m always keen to have a beer with the bride & groom!

Taz married her long time sweetie Mark out at Camp Sunnystones, 45 minutes northwest of Melbourne near Bacchus Marsh. It was a laid back, perfect celebration with a great rock n’ roll theme (think groomsmen dressed like Johnny Cash and bridesmaids lookin’ like pinup girls, and a live 4 piece band smashing out Queens of the Stone Age and Howlin’ Wolf) and suited Taz & Mark perfectly. Seriously though, it was HOT.

Here’s a few of my fave shots from the day
