Bryan Finlay

Every year local radio station 91.7 The Bounce holds the Bounce Showdown, a talent competition for local singers. The winner gets a CD produced by Hipjoint Productions and a bunch of other prizes. It's really great to see a local station giving talented young people a chance to make an impression on the oversaturated and seemingly impenetrable music industry.

I have been very fortunate to photograph the album covers and promotion photos of the past three winners: Justin Blais, Beatrice Love, and more recently this year's winner, Bryan Finlay. He's only 17 but has the most incredible voice! We got to shoot at the Red Piano in West Edmonton Mall, which is a seriously cool place to shoot.

I'm glad I got to meet and photograph this fine young gentleman, he's got such a positive attitude and I know he will go far!
